1)Is it worth it? 2)Do you really get live CPA advice round the clock for a year ? 3)How is the wait time to speak to them? 4)Which version of live? (premium, deluxe etc) my situations: have a house which I refinanced twice in 2019. Also sold stocks rsu’s and espp’s. Have a 401k account with fidelity. Plus had a bank account in India with less than 2k. Which is the best product for me ?#cpa #irs #tax
Fuck intuit, try freetaxusa Also why would having a 401k factor into your return? Did you take money out of it?
I did not. I just mentioned what is all there. How is freetaxusa better than turbo?
I have tried it and you do get CPA advice pretty much as soon as you need it. Though the amount you save over going to a live accountant is time and effort spent gathering questions and docs to put forward to the CPA. The CPAs don't actually understand/care about your overall situation so they don't make recommendations that could save you extra $. They are just there for any queries you have (can I claim this, can I claim that?).
I see. Thanks for this comment . I was looking for the all year cpa advice. Ex: Like if I sell my current house , how can I effectively reduce tax on the proceeds
Could work if you have specific questions but IIRC there's no way to ensure you get the same CPA again, so you'll have to lay out your entire situation each time you have something new to ask (pretty annoying, especially because usually they don't read the summary you write for them when you set up the appointment).
