So first round I spoke to the Netflix Technical recruiter and then passed on to the next stage which I thought would be Hiring Manager phone screening, but no they said I would do my technical interview which was SQL and analytical comprehension. I did my first round of technical interview and I did really good and politely ask for a feed back from the Engineer and he said he liked the way I walked him through my thought process and how I got to the answers at that point I was convinced that I would move to the second round, but that did not happen I got an email from the recruiter " thank you for your time and learning about us but the team thought you were not the right fit for this position" I am so confused. My question is I thought the interview structure at Netflix was HR screening -> HM screening -> technical interview -> Panel and then a decision would be made? My other question is - does netflix have cool down period before you can apply again? 11 YoE 177 TC #netflix
Tc or.... oh wait nevermind
Can you share what type of questions were there in your technical round?
Few questions on group by, case statement and then analytical functions. I found them to be easy to medium level
OP, I had the same interview as you a couple months ago. I did get the hiring manager screen before the technical interview. From the sounds of it our tech interviews were about the same. I didn’t get past that phase either. I assumed I was too slow. How many questions did you answer?
What kind of questions were asked in the analytical comprehension section? I have my first technical round as well and they told me I should expect SQL and Python questions
What’s the level of the position ? L5 or L4
I had the same. The feedback I got was that I was too slow, I finished both questions with 7 minutes to go but apparently that was too slow.... and they wanted more autonomy in my working (I thought I should ask questions about the data rather than making assumptions but it looks like they wanted someone who just makes assumptions and runs with it)
What have you been mainly doing in the 11 years? Data science of analytics?
7 years Data Engineer and 4 years analytics engineer
