I thought the previous layoffs also included RSUs, gave +2 weeks per year of employment, and paid your health insurance.
They should still receive RSUs until April 9th since they won't be terminated until then.
The previous one was 16 weeks default as well.

Msft would have offered only 1 month pay. Most companies wouldnt even care. Take the money, and move on. You are much much better off than 90% who get laid off then have to rely on government unemploynent benefit
They slashed the severance package compared to last year! No RSUs, no health insurance, even the pay period is cut short. It's outrageous! We need a way for employees to have their voices heard about these decisions. Not having extended health coverage is the worst part. Most companies offer that. What's wrong with Google? Google's financials are strong this year, so why squeeze the very people who contributed to its success?
