Most senior engineer in agile team. Technical lead.
We just had our master software engineer promote to distinguished. Is he gonna leave us?!
An engineer with a masters degree. Yea unimpressive I know
Lol wtf that’s a real title at capital one
Yep. Just below distinguished engineer. Pretty cool titles huh.
Distinguished is standard. This is the first time I’ve heard master
Lvl 4ish
I got an offer for something like Master Manager Software Engineer at Capital One. The title was hilarious. I declined because I didn't find the work interesting. I know of at least two junior devs in my team who went to capital one and magically they were senior software engineers there 😂
A SWE with a MSc degree?
A sw engineer whose scrum was removed
It's one level below Software Engineering God/Deity
I will only apply for positions with the title The One True Software Engineer
At Capital One it’s somewhat equivalent to a staff engineer at other companies or level 4, like entry level -> mid-level -> senior -> staff/master. Silly title though. MSE can have directs while some stay ICs.
Its a software engineer thats a master
