what is the minimum yoe requirement for l5 at Google?
i am an l5 at Uber right now. but the google recruiter told me to interview at l4 because most candidates with the same yoe do so.
6 if all in FANGPUAL, otherwise, 10
There is no minimum yoe. It's either pass the interview or not
But I don't even get the opportunity to interview at 5. L4 interview is all LC questions.
Tell them you won't interview if they are down grading you
If you want L5, insist on it and refuse to interview otherwise. Getting a promo is highly political and if you end up with a bad fit team you won't have a chance to get one for many years. G isn't heaven. Don't downlevel yourself just because of the name on your resume. L4 has one system design and one behavioral. L5 will probably have one more design and different behavioral, as far as I know.

You'll be downlevelled to L4 unless you invented something extraordinary. No way you're getting L5.
Hardware, I have see people with 8-20 yoe at L5
it really depends on your interview performance. Uber Sr title is a little bit inflated as far as I know, and google is very conservative on giving L5+
I was interviewed at G for L6 based on 18 yo,did not make it though
Did they ask coding or was it just system design and behavioral ?
