Will you move out of the Bay if your company adopts permanent WFH?

As the title says, will you move out of the Bay if your company adopts permanent WFH? Sounds like a good idea for anyone already satisfied with their level and not have promo ambitions. In exchange for not seeing coworkers face to face often, you would get a huge QoL boost and financial boost just by moving.

Doesn't make sense for folks working in HW, otherwise why not

Believe it or not people do actually like the Bay Area. Thereโ€™s pretty much no chance tc isnโ€™t adjusted if you leave for a cheaper col. Thereโ€™s a poll done every year about people wanting to leave the Bay Area โ€” never ends up happening.

Lots of people leave. It's just that the egress and ingress are roughly equivalent. What will be interesting now is the ingress will be much less.
