i know bytedance/tiktok is known as a shitty place to work but seriously, i’ve never witnessed such awful leadership and org choices… i actually hate the place so much. and if i’m honest, i’ve yet to meet a single impressive person

no one is at tiktok to grow or develop or invest in anything other than a resume line.. the avg tenure is well under 2 years and i’ve never been less inspired or impressed by a leadership team. i’m also accustomed to an evolving environment, but not one that has ZERO consideration of how the change will impact roles, resourcing, and just ability to do your job at all… also everyone i know who works at TT is miserable

can’t get too specific haha. but small digital consultancy, big 4 consulting firm, and high growth unicorn that went public while i was there.. so i’ve had a range of experiences. but i’ve also had a lot of conversations with colleagues and they have the exact same sentiment when it comes to working at TT
