Hi all, I have an interview coming up at Foursquare for a Product Manager role. I know this company made a lot of waves and now it has pivoted to be a more enterprise company. I am reading a lot of not so good stuff about working there, but they are quite old (2-3 years). I would like to know from people who are currently working there, can you let me know whats its like working there and how are things when it comes to leadership and where the company is headed. Appreciate help here
didn't know they are still around.
Iāve worked there recently. Itās hard to figure out how bad it is there relative to the entire market. They had multiple rounds of layoffs in the past year or two. Big changes at the top of product and eng. I think theyāre on their 3rd head of product in 3 years. But so many late round companies are struggling. There are new stuff in beta that might turn out ok. Just a wild market in tech and Iām not smart enough to figure out whatās unique to FSQ
Back in the day I loved Swarm. Curious, why Foursquare could not IPO or bought yet.
8 years ago I evaluated investing in their down round as they pivoted to enterprise. Nice to see they are still aliveā¦
