London - Java Microservices Development Strategist

Java Microservices Development Strategist – Investment Management, City of London Up to £100k base +50% bonus (so potential TC up to £150k) Are you a delivery-focused tech fanatic with excellent Core Java development skills? Would you like to step into a Senior Thought Leadership role and help set the direction of microservices development at a top global Investment Management firm? You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of innovative microservices within our brand new digital arm. While this role does not involve any line management, you will be communicating day-in-day-out with the CTO, testers and developers so you must be great in a business-facing role. Your ideas will have a massive influence on the wider team, which only launched 12 months ago and is already 60 strong. You are a fantastic problem solver who can demonstrate a genuine passion for tech. Perhaps you take the lead at meet-ups, are highly respected on StackOverflow and have lots of great personal projects on GitHub. Your love of tech has driven you to successfully deliver fantastic services, whether in fintech, media, retail, betting or gaming. You’re a straight-talker who can bring others around to your way of thinking, advocating for cutting-edge tech, thorough testing and modern ways of working to the wider team.
