Hi, Does anyone know how the interview process is in PNC bank for software developers roles? How are the compensation rates? TC: 135k
Thanks for your comment. I already am making 135k so I don’t think it isn’t worth it for me then

It depends on the team. You could have just one 45 minute long interview with the hiring manager, or have it be as dragged out as two separate phone screens and then an onsite with 5 different people (including the VP). You shouldn't have to worry about coding, although you may be asked what a piece of code does, or to spot a bug in code. For the most part, content of the interviews are all the same: Java (including collections framework), object-oriented programming, general software engineering and frameworks (typically Spring/Spring-Boot) trivia. They are trying to move everyone to a full-stack role, so you may need to understand both web and back-end development. You will also have to go over your resume and background. As far as pay goes, you will realistically make between $70-130k as a developer. Principal/architect level may make a little bit more. There is a high pay ceiling for the IC track, but I would be surprised if anyone actually made that (around 200k). You would probably need a bit of experience at other big banks and an advanced degree or certificate. There's a lot of people who aren't too happy with their pay there, and upper management doesn't seem too interested in those concerns.
Mind if I DM you for a referral at PNC?
I don't work there anymore. I left PNC for TikTok in August, but I do have a connection to a recruiter there still who might be able to hook you up. Feel free to DM though :)
