Day1 CPT or Amsterdam? (Tesla)
Posting for a friend here since she is not on Blind. Long story short - this was her last H1b attempt and unfortunately didn’t get picked. She works at Tesla who gave her an option to either move to Amsterdam or take day 1 CPT and continue working in US. Both options have their pros and cons but would like to have an opinion from broader mass Blind tax: L62 4yoe 197k TC #tech #immigration
Day1 cpt is not worth it, very stressful and restrictive. If she has an opportunity I'd suggest to go and explore a new country if she doesn't have a family here.
Day 1 or Day 2 CPT is illegal and has repercussions
There is no guarantee to get H1 during day1 CPT as well. Instead she can come back to US on L1.
You should move to Europe have fun and come back on L1 and apply perm in EB1. Play your cards right OP, You will thank yourself in future.
