Thinking of quitting my job in order to focus full time on preparing for tech companies outside India. I really want to experience life out of India while working there. If I am able to focus my full time in preparing I believe I have a good chance of clearing the interviews. Another reason for quitting is I am not enjoying work right now. I will be happier if I know I am devoting 100% of my time to focus on what I really want. I am asking you guys for some guidance/wisdom or looking for folks who have done this in the past and their experience. I feel anxious if I think of quitting my job as it’s a big risk to leave a high paying job. If I don’t get a job outside India then my backup is to get a job again in India. But then due to a gap in my resume recruiters will low ball, such I have read a lot online. TC - 44 LPA YOE- 4.5 P.S : I don’t work at Goldman anymore. Am I thinking in the right direction?
As it is it’s really rare for FAANG or any company outside of india to directly hire someone from India. Don’t make it harder by quitting and taking a break. Move to MSFT or amazon India and then try to move abroad via internal transfer. Alternatively try for companies like deliverhero or Uber who hire for EU locations from india.
Facebook does. Heard there have been hiring in Apple, Amazon as well. And thanks for the suggestions.
They do, but it’s rare and really hard😊
