Evaluating Netskope offer
I got an offer from Netskope for Sr engineer Base: 175K Joining Bonus: 25K Stock Options: 25K at current valuation (4.5 dollar strike price) I think this is too less. I will get 300K (for 4 years) if Netskope becomes 4x in value. Anyone working at Netskope can share some context? My current CTC is around 320K

The environment is more toxicant than Uber, 90% are Indians. So if you are Indians, shouldn’t be a problem. I was contacted by recruiters. How about the interview? Only about leetcode and system design?

If you like the team and think you can make a difference, why not give it a try? Stock is pure luck at this time. Could be peanuts or a million. Can’t predict the future. Make sure to join at the healthy base so that you don’t have regret in the future.

Checkout current valuation of competitors in the market. Some of them are public. If NetSkope can convince the market that we are as good as our competitors, it will easily 4x. Again, I don’t want to create false hopes for you.
I genuinely like my teammates and most other teams (both manager's and IC's) that I've interacted with. There's a two-three exceptions, but they are widely known as political landmine areas and not the norm. Prospects are very good for 4x... Even at 4x that'd still be only $6B-$7B depending on how much dilution between now and IPO... With zcaler trading at nearly 3x of that and Netskope has a larger TAM due to a wider product line variety, I am quite bullish on the stock upside. That said I do agree with others that you can probably get more stocks if you negotiate.
Netskope engineering is total crap and the salary is average. Stories about Netskope stocks are as superficial as Uber was before the IPO. We all know how it went. Better think carefully. You may or may not make money, but you'll surely experience the worse work culture in the valley.
Ppl are willing to pay me $12 per share if I wanted to sell my vested options today. Unless market/NetSkope screws up for unforeseen reason, it will only go up. Are you getting 25k stock options per year?
