I have an offer from HelloFresh to join their office in Copenhagen as a software engineer. Reading the reviews though here and in glassdoor I started to worry about management, attrition and the general/engineering culture there. Can someone share any info? Did you join? What's your experience been like?
Yes, in the end I joined. The experience so far has been definitely interesting. The tech (at least at the berlin teams) is veeery mature, the platform teams are stellar and there are definitely very good engineering practices. The tech in the various regional offices( like in the nordics in this case) is a bet: you either see tech teams of 2-4 people with barely any engineer to handle a whole regional market or teams of 9-10 people with 7-8 engineers. With this structure you get a loooot of silos between regional offices and hq. TL;DR: tools and practices from Berlin teams are cutting edge and the respective ones from the local markets lag behind somewhat

55k danish krone gross per month base salary, no bonus, no equity, 50% discount on hellofresh subscription
That is fairly low, base is ok, but at least stock or some bonus would be expected.
