Hello Blind community. Wanted some guidance on evaluating a ServiceNow offer Role - Software QA Engineer Y.O.E. - 4.5 years Location: Santa clara, CA Base Salary: $113,000 Bonus: 10% RSU: $90,000 total over 4 years #qa #compensation #offer
Quite about right for SQA but with that YOE, you should net Sr SQA
Thanks for your response. The position I had applied was not senior level position. Can they still consider me for that role?
Highly depends on interview you gave. If you feel you aced it then ask for it. Promotion system is good as far as I know so you should be getting around Feb 2023 if you do well with your experience. If not for base, try pushing RSU’s to 120K. They should def do it. Good luck!
For Santa Clara, try base 120k. Rest sounds about right
Thanks for your response. Yeah that's exactly what I said what my current expectation is. But based on my initial discussion, I am not sure whether they'll increase the base. Any recommendations on how I can persuade them?
How was your interview? If it was really good, go ahead and ask them for 120k or ask for more RSU. Usually they agree for RSU
I would request 120K RSU’s as well.
Can someone at ServiceNow refer me to a role?
DM me
Hi @ServiceNow, Could you please refer me at ServiceNow role? I'm a new grad.
That YOE should get you Senior Software QA Engineer role. Their total Comp per year lands around 150k or so. Then rest is stock growth.
Thanks for your response. The position I applied for was Software QA Engineer. Can I ask to be placed in a Senior role? If that doesn't pan out any other suggestions? TIA
No harm in asking. Worst case they will request you to interview for the higher position.
