Car insurance and credit score check
I currently have car insurance and renters insurance policy from Farmers insurance. I plan to search for cheaper options. Will shopping for new car and renters insurance options cause a hard enquiry on my credit score? Please let me know TC: 250K

Soft hit. at some places you can request a quote without a credit check, but it could potentially be way off so it’s not worth your time.
For a quote/estimate, no hard hit, they might ask you for a range in which your score falls. For the exact amount, yes, a hard hit.

Any particular bad experience with farmers ? They refunded me quickly for a windshield replacement. No accidents though.
Friend had farmers couple of years ago, when she got into an accident farmer was processing everything extremely slow and communications were poor and infuriating
