A barcode wouldn’t be used for NFT-based entry. The NFT would belong to someone’s crypto wallet and would presumably be transferred to the venue upon entry.
Is it like a Bitcoin transaction and they wait 10 minutes for it to through? Then the venue lets you in?
They wouldn’t want to do this because Ticketmaster wants to be the monopoly on legitimate tickets. Make it so you can guarantee legit secondhand stuff (or guaranteed money back, which few would agree to because they could get scammed themselves) and they lose 100% of their power over other sellers in the market.
Airline already solve this problem by required you to bring passport with your ticket. Pretty straight forward solution to adopt, require passport match when redeem ticket. But whether that's economical to do that and will people accept it, it's a bit of a throw
