A series connection is like a traditional strand of Christmas lights. When one goes out, they are all out. Micro inverters avoid this.

He basically offered to do mine at cost, and assured me he would back it for life. This young guy has done other work for me .. top quality and a really nice guy.. This kind of arrangement is a win win

One thing you will find is that some companies offer to lease a system, rather than sell it to you. There are several disadvantages: 1. They get the tax credits, not you 2. If you sell your home, if the buyer doesn’t want the lease, you will pay to terminate the contract and have the panels removed 3. You will still pay for your electricity (that you produce), at a reduced price + rent People are attracted to the leases because there is no large initial investment. But you can generally get attractive terms to finance a purchased system, if you do not have the cash up front
