How is the WLB these days for e6? I have an offer for 40% more TC but I hear nothing but horror stories from FB employees. I dont mind working 50-55 hour weeks, higher to ramp up initially. If its more than that then I'd likely quit #meta
The first cycle is difficult for industry hires. You need to be very careful choose the right team with right scope for e6.
Do you mind sharing why is it difficult for industry hires and pointers on choosing the right team?
Can u impart wisdom on the right team/scope selection?
OP mind sharing you offer and YoE ?
Could you share E6 TC offer and your YOE?
Let me ask this. Is E6 hard for folks who are like 10+ yoe ans already worked on leading teams ?
The initial few months feel overwhelming. Once you understand the expectations, it gets better.
can you share any particular insights or knowledge that was most helpful?
Each team has a role to fill. Not all E6s have to be a team lead. In a lot of cases it comes to agreeing on how you partner with the EM (both understanding what they can rely on the other to do)
Hey how difficult is getting an Google L6 interview as an FB E5 ???

It’s fine people make that shit up cause they can’t make it to E6, you can’t coast but you can work and meet expectations
is this true for people without any FANG experience ?
