I am in talks for a role with Lacework. I heard from a partner that they are planning to lay off 100+ ppl Can someone pls confirm? Thanks!
It is 200+ … going on today
Engineering affected heavily?
No
300 laid off today. Company in free fall. Horrific leadership and culture.
Saw a post on Linkedin
Shoot!! Thats a lot..
Sysdig is hiring :)
Is Sysdig not impacted with same market conditions?
Doing great. Strong leadership and product that’s powering through the market conditions

Wow.. dodged a bullet.
Wow, Jay Parikh and his FB cohort made Lacework even worse. This is what happens when you bring in leadership that have been leaders and one company only. They know how to solve a problem one way with a set and controlled environment, and with an extraordinary amount of proven support around them. Those ex-FB VPs are not faring well in their CEO stints.
jay was a one time leader lucky to have been with a company that has a strong culture. Replicating that is not easy, lot of things have to come together for that.
It’s also what happens when you don’t focus purely on revenue ramp. If all you are doing is scaling the org via headcount to show VCs growth, wtf?!
Wait. How many layoff? Didn’t see any announcement. Dont spread the rumor
300+ ppl were fired that is 1/3 of their workforce roughly
Lacework isn’t that big. 100 people would be huge if true.
They hired over 800 people in the last 12 months, it wouldn't be surprising
Wow that’s a lot of people. No way they kept the bar high.
