Why does a company like Zume even exist ? How in the world do they convince VCs to give them money ? This is literally what they claim to be. You make a good point; Theranos' problem was that they made a machine which didn't do what they claimed it did. This company isn't promising shit. I see how you're skeptical about them being Theranos 2.0.

That's a very interesting comparison and I have never thought like this. Basically what we are trying to do is to predict demand, provide high quality and affordable food service, reduce waste and enhance automation.

Having worked at Theranos and now working at Zume, let me tell you that this place is NOTHING like Theranos. Way more transparency, direct access to our CEO, open offices, not siloed in any way. Culture is completely different and way less secretive. Re: Zume Pizza, Pizza was never the end game for Zume, the platform (Zume Forward, Source, Culinary) was/is. ZP is our proof of concept, that our goal of executing against our Purpose statement is a viable business solution. I never saw Theranos try any proof of concept before commercializing their product, they just lied and said it worked, falsified test results to build consumer confidence, but we all know what happened there. At Zume, we pull back the curtain with our customers, show them how the product works; we don't hide anything. So if you think Zume is another Theranos....a big thumbs down to that. Far from it!
No Zume is def like theranos. Not has deterimental since we don't fuck with people's health but we definitely are lying through our teeth and have an absolutely joke of a ceo
