FreeTaxUsa is better than TurboTax.
I filed my taxes last last night. TurboTax charged 30$ for state and was forcing to upgrade to Deluxe(60$ more) because I had HSA account. While I was trying to fill the forms they tried to sell me more than $100 worth of premium junk. I did everything Fed+State for $12 at FreeTaxUsa. Will never use TurboTax again. FTU can handle complex tax situation with less spam and is user friendly. I heard a lot about about TT in the past but I think they can do much better.
To save $48 you handed your detailed financial info to some random site with an awful name. Doesn’t sound too smart to me.
TurboTax tried to charge me 30(state) + 60(deluxe) + 20(some other shit). So they forced me to buy $110 of their junk. FTU charged 12.95(state) + 0 Fed.
I still like turbo tax. I have rental properties and side businesses . Turbo tax professional is great. They checked everything for you in a call
I have so much history with tt - hard to move , unless freetax has an import from tt feature

Turbotax is a total shit hole. They keep asking me to upgrade and I declined then they mysteriously upgrade it for me and charged to my cc before showing me the detailed bill so pissed off. Will try ftu and charge back to turbotax. Shame on intuit Such a scam company
