I am an international in the US and confident of getting my greencard under EB1-B in a year or so. There are several social causes that I care about and I wish to work on them on the side. I simply don't have the balls to quit my well paying job and work on the social cause full time. Is there any way I can live in one of the developing countries yet earn silicon valley salaries? I know many companies like India have a large presence of US companies, but what about elsewhere? say a Vietnam or a Sri Lanka? How will the taxation work? I only know of Spotify that lets you do that. I have just heard about people working remotely and earning top quids but dont know anyone personally who does that. I also dont have the balls to start a company on my own and then do philanthropy/make a difference. Sorry if I am sounding like a privileged a**hole but I do need the cash. TC :330 K
If you live in another country for more than a year, you'll lose your green card. So I'm really not sure what you're trying to do here.
What about US citizens ? can they work from anywhere as long as they taxes ?
Yes, as long as they pay taxes
It's possible if you're really good at a niche field that's very hard to hire for. My friend is one of those. Will not mention the niche field since it's too easy to dox. He makes $750k working from India.
why would anyone pay your valley salary outside of valley? even europoors don't make as much
