I am in Bay Area. TC 350k. How is Houzz to work for?
Stay away from houzz, many talented people already left. Houzz is just hiring people in Taiwan or fresh grads because they can’t afford to hire good experienced people in the bay.
Talented people leave every company. It’s just a cycle. There are still talented people working for Houzz, and the people from Taiwan that work with us are extremely talented so your comment is also kind of I don’t know… not politically correct.
Don’t join houzz. Strategy is a joke and the culture is very top down and dictatorship.
Saw a trend here: talented people try to innovate and change things, didn’t get heard/support, they left and the truth is they are better off after leaving houzz.
It’s great - very smart people, great product and getting even better and highly loved by those who use it, very flat structure and ability to do meaningful things and wide responsibility. Well funded and around for the long run. Best to get in now if you can get a chance. Look at Wayfair and HomeAdvisor stock price since March. If economy gets bad, houzz will get stronger - stay at home and renovate.
