Toast Offer - Looking for Feedback

Current TC - $255k YOE - 10 Strategy role, senior manager level, location is remote Base - $190k Bonus - 15% Stock - $50k/year TC - $270k Signing Bonus - $10k Not a huge bump for me, although the stock comp, role, product, and culture are interesting. Anyone who works or got offers from Toast, can you chime in on if you think there is room to negotiate up? I’m thinking I should be able to get more signing bonus and another 10% TC across base or stock comp. I’m hopeful as I would like to take the offer but tough to justify without more of a bump. Thanks in advance!

Seems reasonable

Depends on your confidence in Toast stock. It is low if you think it will go up in the future, that $50k would be a lot. If not, don’t bother unless you get more pay.

Is the bonus guaranteed?

Visa kqUl28 OP Aug 9, 2022

I think it’s on target at 15% based on individual and company performance

Ok cool. I think it's a calculated risk given stock is too low. Hoping it bounces heavily atleast 20-30% On the other side ask for more sign on and base I'd say

What's the interview process like?

Toast skippy6256 Aug 12, 2022

For SE? Typically hour tech screen. The 4 to 5 hour panel split to what works for you. Ban of technical questions mostly domain related and some behaviourals with HMs.

On the strategy side - 1 manager interview, then had to do a case (spent 5 hours on my own putting together a financial analysis with recommendations based on online research), then a panel interview with 4 people I would be working with, then interview with hiring managers manager. Outside of the case it was mostly focused on my experience and relevant examples
