Leaving Lam Research
Does anyone know what the practices are if i give a week’s notice to leave lam research ? If i inform them that i am going to applied, will my 1 week notice be considered or my job will be truncated right away? HR policy says 2 weeks but it would be different if one is going to competition.. i know in applied, you are escorted out same day of informing.. but i dont know what lam rules are.. please advise

Depends how much they like or need you. I know a few who worked the last two weeks, basically not doing much. Where are you going?

Give a two week notice and likely HR will take away your laptop and work phone within a day and then you can still put a terminate date two weeks from now and get paid these two weeks
Does anyone knows when is espp purchase done? Lets say if i inform them about leaving on same day as the espp end date, can they cancel the espp and give all the contributions back or they will let it go ..
Fidelity does the transaction the same day (after market closes) but i am not sure if employer can call them and have that cancelled.. any info on this?
I waited for espp to come in which took another 2 day after the purchase was made and them told them.. i had to leave same day.. just useful info for others ..

Too large an organization so same issue as lam. Culture , work and wlb depends on group and manager. Do you have an offer already ? Which group ?
Better as i got my profile change from being a lab rat
