Hello fellow TPMs I’m trying to understand which positions are Facebook ask for System Design questions and which don’t? Is there a way to know from the position or team I’d System Design questions will be asked? I’m not very good at System Design and will need to schedule my interview accordingly Also how much does the system design interview hold weight in the interview process? Is it a make or break decision? Ask recruiter. Don't know about FB but it's easy to pass Google non tech loop.
Recruiter says I will have a round but doesn’t specify much on preparations or what they are looking for. Did Apple have a System Design round?
Yes. System are the same. They look for scalability, reliability vs availability and being able to talk about tradeoffs. There are non tech roles in apple which doesn't. It's all team dependent.
Oh I see got it - how much should I prepare for a System Design interview? like are my answers supposed to be like Engineers?
