Amazon - Whole Foods Market

For those who work at Amazon - Whole Foods, what is the culture like? Is it the same pay structure as Amazon? Do employees have the potential to transfer internally? More specifically for the data science and security teams, are you treated as inferior to those who work at AWS or Amazon stores? #engineering #software #swe #datascience #dataanalytics #amazon #wholefoods

The stereotype within Amazon is that it's easier to get hired by a subsidiary. So yes, it could be harder to transfer unless you can show outsized impact. When I interview someone from Twitch, Ring, Zappos, or Whole Foods, they are given about the same level of priority as an employee-referred candidate. I've talked to other Managers about this and many feel the same as I do. If you can, get in with Amazon or AWS. Its like when your friend tells you he works at Google, but he really works at Verily... Almost, but not quite the same.
