Take the trans issue. The left acts like it's done nothing and Republicans are attacking things that have always been and making it into an issue. But until recently: 1. The word "woman" meant "human female" until the left recently went on a campaign to redefine the language to change it to "identifies as" based on their political ideology around gender 2. People with male anatomy weren't in the girls change room until the left campaigned to make it happen 3. Biological males were not on women's sports teams until the left campaigned on it 4. There wasn't a campaign to force people to use pronouns that they may not agree with their own religion into your left actively campaigned for this The right is simply responding to this culture war being promoted by the left and pointing out that actually no we don't agree with the identify politics of redefining language, grooming other people's kids, having girls assaulted in change rooms by men who "identify" as women, etc It's the left that's trying to fight a culture war here.
There is a reason that the term âwokeâ is being used. It is a story from the left that they are not moving the goalposts, but rather that people are just waking up to the way things have always been - all wrapped up in one word. Really brilliant storytelling, except the right has immediately responded by rebranding woke to mean âradical left in the most stereotypical, unreasonable senseâ
Trans people have always existed and they want to be treated as normal people. The left is trying to promote equality for all and the right wants to keep them oppressed and âout of sightâ. The political leaders on the right created a culture war against an easy target to keep their hateful base distracted instead of working for actual progress in this country.
Yes, marginalized people fighting for equality know that they are fighting a culture war against the status quo of bigotry and exclusion. Until recently, they were killed for it, but as the reactionaries lose the war, it gets better.
Except that they have now become the intolerant bigots. They have moved from opposing restrictions on people to trying to control other people They don't respect the views of religious people.
The loss of privilege often feels like oppression. Why would anyone respect a view, religious or otherwise, that seeks to strip that person of their rights?
This is hilarious. Absolutely no ability to reflect by OP. If we were in the 50s heâd be ranting about black people or women wanting rights.
You can't make any point so your throw insults. Kind of a stupid thing to do. I guess you aren't capable.
Meh. Either bad troll because itâs so blatant, or too far gone to be worth any time đ
Nobody cares, can we get back to talking about fiscal policy and why both of these shitty parties are increasing spending.
Actually a lot of people care, it's shaping up to be one of the major issues in the upcoming presidential campaign
I think the agenda is go from 2 party system to a multi-party system at any possible cost including feeding your own child to a monster. I think people care more about the spectacle otherwise there would be solid leadership and there isnât. Agree solid fiscal policy is more interesting to talk about. I donât want to get depressed with the depressed, I want to help them get better.
