Morale is really low. A lot of silent layoffs while middle/senior management increasingly throw underlings under the bus, but take up zero responsibility themselves.
If you are interviewing for the "senior" level role, that's precisely the level people get hired-to-fire the most imo.
There are definitely also situations where almost entire teams have been wiped out (junior to senior), but somehow the VP / Director got to stay as if they weren't responsible for the team. Search here and you'll see how bad it is nowadays.
