Twitter revenue is MASSIVELY DROPPING

Like a I said, Lon Lon will mess up twitter. GM, General Mills, and Ford have suspended ads. The top adversities spent $2.18 billion in the first 6 months of the year, these are HBO, Mondelez, Amazon, IBM and PepsiCo- they spent $155 million last week alone. Some employees are already PIP’d and it’s getting worse.

GM and Ford did it cause twitter is owned by their competitor: Mr Tesla

Yes! Conflicts right there.

Amazon Manga>Fang Nov 4, 2022

Yep - this is the answer

Amazon tCag10 Nov 4, 2022

Serious question though, why should advertisers pull out or stay away from twitter?

Samsung NeuroLogica tsxmaster OP Nov 4, 2022

Uncertainty and the fact that there’s sensitivity around hostility in the platform. CEO’s need to be a bit predictable, Elon is too radical to be the face of anything.

eBay AFXt28 Nov 4, 2022

No logical reason, but companies are run by PR and being associated with Mr Tesla is bad PR these days

Uber timorlane Nov 4, 2022

Drop in revenue and cut in spending, smaller footprint. I’m fine with that.

Samsung NeuroLogica tsxmaster OP Nov 4, 2022

Except it’s not the case. There’s more to it. They may be okay, but if this become an uncontrolled platform with reckless rhetoric, then that’s gonna be a big problem for Twitter

Uber timorlane Nov 4, 2022

That’s a separate discussion. I agree that it shouldn’t become an uncomfortable platform

Turns out all billionaires throw their tantrums in the same way lol

Microsoft Recluse 🕷 Nov 4, 2022

Twitter is now radioactive. No mainstream advertisers will want to be there given the other options.

Samsung NeuroLogica tsxmaster OP Nov 4, 2022

And another thing is brewing, aka Jack Dorsey.

Optum staml Nov 4, 2022

It's high time people get out of this buying binge based on Ads. Let some sense prevail and all these nonsense spend will fall. Wish these Ad dollar be spent on some infrastructure or other projects to improve human life or nation building. I find total satisfaction in zero marketing spend on all these social media companies

Samsung NeuroLogica tsxmaster OP Nov 4, 2022

You make sense, But companies don’t care like that.

Uber timorlane Nov 4, 2022

Companies are going to cut deep into ad spending in 2023.

Financial Services Company clowns Nov 4, 2022

Isn’t marketing one of the first thing you cut in a recession year, regardless of politics? Meta Snap and Google also all saw a drop in ad revenue

Samsung NeuroLogica tsxmaster OP Nov 4, 2022

Meta just diff, pissed off people because of meta verse. Google is doing just fine.

Google achooooo Nov 4, 2022

Our stock is not doing too well tbh...

Airbnb hlHv83 Nov 4, 2022

Lol, crybaby billionaire, cries when things are not going his way

Microsoft !msft2022 Nov 4, 2022

I love how Elon being so smart compares being on twitter as free speech 😂

Apple Timmy 🍎 Nov 4, 2022

Elon Musk and "free speech" simps in limbo.. Told you guys he'll please advertisers first and foremost. You guys fell for his "free speech" ploy. He's not dumping $44B to turn Twitter into Parler.
