Anyone have an idea of what the typical range looks like for an engineering position for someone with 3-6 years exp? How does pay compare to FANG?
Base 150-180k 70-90k of RSUs in your first year and 30-50k refreshes every year , paysa is pretty accurate!
Are there any cash bonuses?
Not a lot, 5-10% maybe, most of the annual bonus is RSUs
Years of experience are not a great yard stick to go off. You could be an se 1 at OT or senior at 6 years. That’s one hell of a range.
I suppose I'm trying to figure out ranges for "mid level", someone between entry level and Senior
There’s se2 and senior levels then. OT will be around 1st answer for se2 and around second for senior then based on your. Base salary isn’t super exciting but with PCLN rsus and cash bonuses it helps.
Any idea of differences in pay between LA and SF offices? If one were to start in SF and move to the LA office, would pay get cut at all?
I doubt it
For opentable folks, is asking for 300k TC for SSWE level (SF location) reasonable? If not then, what do you recommend and in what breakdown?
For this experience breakdown will be as follows as offered to a recent friend : Base $135 K RSU over 4 years : 60 K Annual target bonus : 8 % Anything else: nice peeps
Was this for the bay area? On paysa, OpenTable is in the "top 10" highest paying companies. I guess paysa is really inaccurate. Just to clarify, the 60k is over 4 years, not 60k per year right (240k)?
Fuck paysa
