For those who thought Tesla was invincible โ this might be that day of reckoning where Tesla is no longer the โcoolโ car to have. Iโm looking forward to seeing some competitors with nice tech in their cars. What do you think? https://www.cnbc.com/2020/12/21/lidar-stocks-soar-after-report-that-apple-is-working-on-a-car-for-2024.html
If Siri is any indication of how well they can leverage AI, thereโs gonna be lots of deaths
LMAO ๐คฃ
Siri, maps, AirPod max... itโs gonna be a 500k car
You'll pay $69,999.99 for a decent Nissan leaf equivalent. It will have a radio package for $199.99 a month. Options like heated seats, keyless entry, etc. will cost upwards of $4,999.99 each.
Don't forget the adapters. The real money makers.
$69,999 gets you the car. Wheels are extra, including the steering one.
Itโll just be a Prius on Mac Pro wheels with some basic lidar. And Bay Area techies will go crazy over it.
Ohhhh is this the car that will slow down after a few years to "preserve battery"
Apple: We limited ๐ speed to conserve ๐. Also, here is our latest iCar 2.o that will go 2x faster
Whatever the car is like, it will make AAPL stock explode. ๐
Yeah, like the car ๐ฅ
I canโt wait to see what case Belkin makes for the car.
Like the bra shaped ones on apple ๐ง?๐ฅ
I wonder if it will charge with a lightning cable
Apple will come up with new charging cable(connectors) completely different from the current EV standards and claim it is superior and intelligent in detecting any mositure and would charge only the car and not electrocute the human handling it.
Quantumscape (QS) and Velodyne Lidar (VLDR) were popping off today based on news, my hunch assumes these may be the suppliers.
People are just generally speculating that they could supply; also just implies the market is more robust
Iโve read that the lidar supply is not sufficient anymore to satisfy all the demand on the market.
