I am software engineer in southeast Europe and did not had experience in this. Do I need a good plan? Lots of people telling me this, but I am skeptical 🧐 because every outsourcing agency I know was created because owner had some connections in the US. How to get clients? Do I need legal entity before I get client, because I need to pay taxes all the time regardless of not having clients. I want to catch this wave of US companies outsourcing work. Anyone wants to partner with me maybe? We can start small, just two developers using company to bill clients. YOE: 8
Hm, usually people do it on their own through freelancing without any company set up until they find their first "big" client. After that, you can think about hiring people and setting up a company.
Lol
I have some freelancing experience and would love to partner.
Sure, ping me in private messages
What sort of work do you do? I’m on the biz side and am well connected to many US corporates.
I do full-stack engineering in React, Nodejs and Golang.
You need to form the equivalent of a limited liability company to protect your personal assets in the event of a lawsuit which is easy to do. Many solo contractors do this.
Yes, but should I do that before getting clients. What to do in interim period?
You need to use your network, or cold call, to get your first client. When you work for yourself you need to "always be selling." Clients don't magically appear.
