A Bad Day
Senior in college. Last week I accepted a full time offer from a small startup for a Junior Data Scientist role in NYC (TC 90). Was pressured into immediately starting part time during my finals week. Yesterday, I was asked to resign because I left the office early due to being sick and stressed about finals. Got home from the office and found my now ex-girlfriend of 3 years sitting on my couch with her stuff packed up. No job, no girl, and I have 3 finals left. I’m going to Mykonos in June to let loose after all this. Then, LC all summer. Referrals anyone? Have SWE and DS internship experience at a Fortune 100 and some small startups. Thanks Blind.
Shitty situation man. Just channel that frustration into studying for your finals. DM me in a few weeks when I get my hiring budget approved for Q3.

Depends entirely on the team. Lots if re-structuring lately so a lot of knowledge gaps. Overall not bad if you can get into the new AI and Greenfield projects.

If a partner or a friend don’t stay around in difficult times then maybe they shouldn’t be in your life at all. Be glad she uncovered her ugly truth and left. Things will be fine and she would wish she stayed around
That too bad, I feel your pain man. When I graduated in 2009 I had offer that were then rescinded after crash. TC 90 in NYC for junior role is actually not a very good offer. Yiu can probably do better. Just start applying now. You can LC while you apply. Honestly if you can code, LC cramming is not really required.

Honestly fuck the girl. Now's the time to get ahead. Trust me. I am 25 years old and because I put my head down and focused I am reaping the benfits. The right girl will come down the line focus on becoming a BEAST.
