I have unvested stocks worth of 60k from current company. Can I ask for equivalent amount of AMD stocks (60k) to take care of unvested stocks along with sign-on RSU (90k/3 years)? This is for MTS position with 14 years of experience in design and verification.
This is in Sunnyvale location any for GPU team. They are pushing hard for MTS only. I meant to say that I have asked for 150k RSU ( 60 k comes from unvested stock and 90k comes from sign on bonus)
I would say so for 3 x the unvested stock because you are starting the cycle from scratch
1. You should ask for SMTS and try to take the 90k RSUs up. 2. For the current unvested stock, you should ask for a bigger sign on cash bonus to cover that 60k. Also can you share your full offer details ? What level are you at intel ? Curious how you have 60k rsu unvested.
I am in grade 8 at Intel, offer is 180k, bonus 15%, still under negotiation for sign on cash bonus and RSU
Be aware that AMD never pays full bonus. We are having one of the best years in history and CFO said last week the bonus multiplier will be around 0.7. This means that if your bonus target is 15%, you will get around 10.5%

If you get in as an MTS you will loose on bonus (3%) and future RSUs. At your experience you should be at an SMTS level.
did you get counter offer then ?
What location and group is the position? You should ask for SMTS position and ask for more RSU rather than trying to match what you have from current company.
