A little of a year ago I was let go from my Project Manager position. It was obvious retaliation after raising concern to senior managers that PMO members had critical product knowledge gaps. I wasn't too worried after as I have a solid resume and experience. There has been no issue securing a solid interview for me, I typically make it to the short list. Finally, I think I landed a good position and my contacts goes ghost on me. Any suggestions...?
Is the contact one of those Sr managers?
I haven't put anyone from that team as a reference, only the company HR to confirm my time there.
How many interviews have you done? Gap for year+ will start to be difficult to justify...
Too many good opportunities for me to still be searching. I'm open for discussion with salary, so I stay competitive. It does flag concern to companies and myself. It has been a frustrating time and loosing confidence.
So wait you have been jobless for a whole year? Damn sorry. Have you tried joining as consultant? PM is very hot these days.
Pretty much. Ive taken little contracts, but nothing I can support my family on.
