AirBnB no longer team matching?

I spoke to a recruiter and was told that I will be interviewing for a specific business unit and would have to choose a sub team from that unit. I thought AirBnB had team matching where you could interview for a generalist backend role and then pick a team. How is the payments business unit? Also, is it common having to do the hackerrank assessment and then a one hour phone screen?
