Does Amazon blacklist people who reject them? I had an L7 PM offer that I rejected a year ago as the team and the scope didn't attract me. I recently came across another Principal PM role that did sound interesting. I pinged the hiring manager on LinkedIn, we had a quick call. We hit it off right away and she was eager to move forward with the interviews really fast. I even told her that I had let go of an opportunity before and she was fine with it. She was new to Amazon herself. One week from then I had a screening with her recruiter who sounded very artificial and standoffish, which I'm used to with Amazon so didn't think much of it but then I received an email from her stating that they aren't moving forward with me. What gives? Am I banned for life? @Amazon
No
Nope
Amazon is where ppl practice interview
I think they offered the job to someone else. Nothing about you.
It's still open. I think I can kick ass in that role but I'll let them find someone they like. Lol
No, I rejected in the past
Similar thing happened to me; the hiring manager mentioned we will go to onsite, and the recruiter came back saying they are not moving forward. I chalked it to a decision by the hiring manager, I don’t believe recruiters make these calls.
Did you get an interview/offer with them again?
Nope. I rejected amazon thrice
thrice ^
The last time was mostly for interview practice 😉
