Amazon job offer - 7k lumpsum or Core package. which is more profitable?
I am switching states after accepting an offer from Amazon. For relocation, I was given 2 options 7k Lump sum which will be taxed as well or Core Package which will take care of everything including accomodation for a month. Anyone with experience can speak to which is more profitable?

7k is already AFTER tax, it is a standard L4 relocation package.. the actual grant pre tax is 10k
If you have a lot of stuff to move, need to fly an entire family to your new location, need temporary housing in Seattle while you look for a place to live, and need to travel back to your current location several times, the managed relocation could be better value. If you are single and don’t have much stuff to move, the lump sum could be better
