Not the most pleasant topic but figured to ask. How do you prevent it from impacting your work and how do you manage your symptoms? The biggest issue for me is the uncomfortable and unpredictable abdominal pains that I get throughout the day. The stress of work doesn't help either.
Find the shit that makes you shit and stop eating that shit
Yup, name checks out.
Not all IBS has dietary triggers. I had it bad when younger and better diet has mostly made it go away but many people are not so lucky.
Ingest lots of probiotics too, good shit
Yah, and if one brand of probiotics doesn’t work for you within a week or two, change brands. After three brands I found peace.
I have tried Digestive Advantage and Align. The latter seems to work better but not perfectly. Which have you tried and which worked?
Sorry you are going through this. I don’t deal with this, but know several who do. I know two people with Crohns for whom Stellara changed their lives. I don’t know if it is appropriate for your IBS. Some research has shown that emulsifiers reduce protective gut mucous layers and that removing them (pretty much anything with lecithin, and many other ingredients) can help. Moving to mostly home made foods is a way of avoiding them.
Fast one day with only curd as the food
Yes. Change diet. Find and avoid your triggers. Sleep well. Meds if needed
Also jog to get those bowels moving every morning and drink more water, your shit will thank you. Yogurt is great, pills too but one underrated source of probiotics is fermented food like Sauerkraut/Kimchi. Hope you see improvements soon.
What are your symptoms
Yeah me too. Except I’m most bothered by the unpredictable and urgent diarrhea that plagued me throughout the day.
