My interest is farming and it's my hobby for now(not a successful one though). Planning to retire when I hit my financial goal(Guess might take another ~6 years). Currently doing research on what/how/when to grow in typical tropical Indian weather which can be exported profitably. Have enough land for agriculture . Initial investment is part my financial goal. No loan on me Anyone in same boat? Appreciate any suggestions and ideas TC : 170k Austin 3.8 yoe. Not in Intel
Hell no.
I plan on growing cannabis after I retire.
Me!
Not too interested in profitability, but I want to have a farm/animal-sanctuary that is self sufficient.
Just saying my relative died after doing it- hard work and health is not good, when he had heart attack the ambulance took too long( you are not in the city any more ). Do your farming now when you are young, buy farm and get workers later when you are retired
Thanks for your suggestions.
The guy we used to get our eggs from at the farmers market used to be a hedge fund accountant. But then he sold his farm and we had to find a new eggs supplier.
Yes, I plan to farm after I retire. If by farming you mean a small vegetable garden in my backyard.
I guess it’s common with Indian IT guys to think this way. Wait for another 4-5 years and see you have real passion for the same.
LOVE the idea. Which state you in?
Karnataka,India
With your TC, you will live like a king back home! Good luck to you :)
