Apple CEO Tim Cook should resign

Under his watch, Apple has fallen way back in innovation and being cool. It is just a shadow of it's glorious past. All Mr Cook has done is release new iPhones every year. Apple has become an iPhone company under his watch.

Often I see lots of similarities between Cook and Ballmer. Under Ballmer, MSFT grew enormously too, sales skyrocketed, but the company lost a lot of steam.

Those both suck, though :/ I mean, maybe people like them and they're useful... But you're not going to compare iPhone to Airpods are you? :((

I agree with OP. Rather Apple has gone back in some of the things which it was a leader in once for example voice recognition

That’s exactly my point- Siri once was a product of future but apple didn’t leverage the head start it had

Nope. Apple innovation is in making products that customers want but never thought they would want. That mantle has been taken over by Amazon these days.

Amazon made products that nobody wants because they are half baked, especially lab126.

He’s a good Ops guy, terrible innovator. Both are useful for a company at different times. Jobs went through his Musk stages as well. But yes innovation is sorely lacking at Apple since Job’s passing.

I think this was the case the first few years after Jobs - Apple Music and Siri have been a fucking disaster. That said, Apple Watch, CarPlay, the Air Pods are starting to make me a believer again.

Shareholders don’t care if you make money or not, they care if the share price is up or not, and these two are very different things.

Apple is the biggest company (mcap) but I think it could have done better. Secondly, they are too dependent on iPhones. What if someone comes out with a better phone?
    Oct 19, 2018 4
    • Fyi there are better phones for several years now

I would let the revenue/profit/future prospects decide which phone is better than you or me arguing.

My point is not that Apple is or isn't making money. Point is under Tim Cook Apple went from Hero to Zero when it comes to being innovative.
