Apple vs Stripe

I'm trying to decide between offers from Apple and Stripe, which are more or less equivalent compensation-wise, and was hoping to get some feedback. (Recruiters haven't mentioned levels to me, so sorry that's missing)

Base: Stripe - $128,750, Apple - $130,000
RSU: Stripe - 26,250 (currently evaluated at $274k but who knows) over 4 years, Apple - don't have a the written offer yet, but it ends up being the same with the RSU refreshers
Signing Bonus: Stripe - $15k, Apple - $20k
Annual bonus: Same for each; 10 - 15%

I have 1 year of experience, and both roles are full stack with emphasis on the front end.

The most important thing to me at this point in my career is learning as much as I can. I have advanced degrees but they're in another field - I'm a bootcamp grad. So it's important to me that I'm in an environment that will open doors and expose me to a high quality codebase I can learn from.

I would suggest Apple purely based on future hiring opportunities. Good luck.

Stripe, if your goal is to learn. They are a big enough company at this point, especially in tech that other companies know and respect the brand for future opportunities.

That said, I love Apple and would vouch for it as well. But I’ve learned in my years here that your experience here is highly dependent on your manager and team.

I don't think you can go wrong between the two. I would personally choose stripe but could also see many others choosing Apple.

Stripe seems to have a great engineering culture. I’m just not sure they will go public in the next 2-3 years. So that’s all paper money.
Apple culture is interesting. If you are purely going for liquidity then Apple but as you mentioned about your preference, I’d say Stripe. Not sure if commute is a preference for you

My only advise is that if someone writes "no brainer" - it isn't. Both are comparable and you can't go wrong with either.

Looking at your low YOE, I can see more growth and learning at Stripe.
    But both are great choices

Their offers are based on their most recent finding round in February that valued the company at $22B
