Possibly looking into App Development courses on Udacity...has anyone taken a course there? If so, what are your thoughts?
Purely for learning, sure. Don’t cite it as an academic accomplishment though.
Pick a single feature of Facebook, build it as its own app, then put it on the app store. Facebook might buy you for a billion.
Best thing to do is just build stuff. Pick up a side project or build a mini version of an existing app.
I would say it definitely counts as an academic achievement. They may be able to grade you as well as a “real” college or offer as much competitiveness factor but it’s an achievement if you learn something.
Not worth it, imho.
The cost seems quite low but why not pick up actual grad level courses from a reputable school?
Time and cost. I would love to go back for my masters, but the school I can afford to go to doesn’t offer night or weekend courses.
It doesn't mean anything, really. But if you want it purely for learning, then it's ok.
