Asana vs Quora?
2 years exp, got offers from both, iOS team, Asana offers ~5% higher base and total comp, but I haven’t negotiated yet.
What’s the Asana offer?
I would personally recommend Asana, they’re a really good size IMo
Quora?? This has really turned into a piece of junk. They have been failing to monetize for a long time, their product is the same as it was 5 years ago.
Asana all day long. That said, why not aim for FB or Uber? You’ve got 2 years experience, so now is the time to learn not earn. Ask yourself, “which job will get me the best offer next time I make my next move in ~2 years?”. Asana is a more interesting product with paying users and may have an exit someday to some large buyer like Atlassian. Neither will go public. Also gone are the days when quora was a hot product and attracted top talent to learn from. Anyone worth a damn to learn from probably moved on to greener pastures already.
We will go public in 2019, before Uber runs out of money.
2021 seems more realistic, but yeah we definitely are on track to going public.
