Wondering what percentage of people leave to move onto something better vs leave because they aren’t performing
This is actually a good point, and potentially explains at least Airbnb.
?
1.81 at MSFT. Can't be, based on my representative observations... Click bait article!
Not surprising. You can get massive compensation increases by job hopping every couple years. Why wouldn't you?
we did the same in the 90's. dosen't last forever.
I've done it for 15 years. Works great.
My brother in law did it. Didn't really work for him, at all.
Bad data or interpretation. Avg tenure is definitely way way higher at Goog and MSFT.
This is an old article and their data is very inaccurate. I can't find them now but there were several tweets debunking these numbers. As you can see, neither the article or the firm that generated the results explain how they came up with these numbers. Anecdotally anyone from Microsoft will tell you the average tenure is way higher than 2 years.
FB higher than rest ?! How come? I thought FB hires and fires fast 💨
I doubt data is correct for Microsoft and Apple..

Question about women in their 30’s?
Wonder why Airbnb, snap, and Uber are at the bottom.
>90% of our employees were hired in the last two years lol who comes up with these lists. Probably same for uber and Airbnb
Ya, that’d make sense. Just seemed odd to me.
