Belarussian/Russians in here need to confirm the following
long story short, I dated a belarussian woman for almost 4 years (we lived together) but among the issues we had that caused us to break up was she didn’t want to contribute financially for anything, she said that in her culture women dont pay for anything in a relationship (groceries, bills, gifts etc) she was just stuffing money in a bank account. Any russian/belarussians in here can confirm this? I always felt she was making that up and had other plans with that money..
I can confirm that this is more or less the norm in Eastern European cultures. Most of those countries’ cultures are centered around men being primary breadwinners thus most of dating presumes men showing this ability etc.

Yes, but they also want to eat organic food, live in a great place, piano and ballet lessons for your kids, private schooling, vacation at least twice a year (for the entire family), yoga lessons, and not to mention the weekly flowers. In America to afford this lifestyle you’ll be working like a dog for the rest of your life.

So I was born in Belarus but lived most of my life in the US, this seems insane. Definitely not how my parents lived.
I feel this mentality is less common with slavics raised here though, watch that video posted in first comment, great insight. She also had a good friend who thought the same way..
What I mean is I see how my parents/relatives live (those that lived most of their life or still live in Belarus or Russia) and they definitely share money/expenses. What I dont know is how modern Belarussians/Russians date; I suspect that while dating the man pays for everything (which is what you experienced). Since I've never dated other russians/belorussians my dating experience here is nil.
Yes and no. They know it’s not sustainable, but as long as you tolerate they’ll keep pressure on you. Also it depends whether they are long term or temporary with you. Basically she didn’t care if you will leave
