I am sick of seeing exorbitant fees for trading cryptos on Coinbase. What is the best low-fee exchange I can use that:

1. supports a vast majority of altcoins
2. Non-shady
3. Open to US residents
4. Allows conditional (stop-loss) orders

So far I’m trying out Bittrex and that seems to be leading the pack. Thoughts?

And you feel safe keeping the coins there on the exchange or transfer to hardware wallet?

It’s the same company as coinbase. Just keep it on the exchange.

Gemini. I used coinbase for a while and then fees are insane.

Bittrex - but be careful with stop-loss orders. Price routinely falls 20%+ just to come right back, you will be shaken out of your money with tight stops especially on the alt coins

I’ve taken this into account by only selling when price crosses a 200 moving average / taking profits based on Fibonacci extensions but that’s a risk with any of these..

If you feel safe with Coinbase, you’ll feel safe with GDAX (same parent company)

Gdax. You can do limit orders that are fee-free. Use hardware wallets like trezor for coins you don't actively trade to cover your butt. Good bless you and don't expect any help when the pain comes. :)
