I currently live in South Bay and might need to move to SF for a new job. Which parts of SF are best for married couple with no kids? I'd prefer to keep my commute time (by public transit) into downtown less than 30 mins each way. TC: 180k, 2 yoe
Mission bay/ north beach
also you forgot to mention the TC and YOE
Oh yea, thx for reminder lol
What's ur spouse's TC. Only asking cuz it's relevant here. One income 180tc might not be best to move to sf
She'll need to quit her job so we can consider it 0
Oh. But I hope she'll be able to find one again?
Richmond
This. The Inner Richmond specifically is a great neighborhood for a young couple. We've been here for a few years and we love it. It's affordable, residential, yet not a sleepy neighborhood. There's plenty of restaurants, bars, the farmers market on Clement is great and you're between two giant parks, the presidio and Golden gate Park. There are express MUNI routes that get you into downtown in 20 minutes. OP, let me know if you need more info, happy to answer questions
Sunset. It’s more suburban and safe but you still can get to anywhere pretty easily by car or muni. Also, if you have a car it will be easier to find parking.
Richmond is good too.
How about San Mateo ?
South beach/ Russian hill/ nob hill/ Hayes valley
Noe!
Not for couples without kids. Thats like a family friendly neighborhood
I really liked Noe Valley. Reminded me of Carrol Gardens
Tenderloin
Thanks 🙄
